Meet Almond! Almond was surrendered to us because his previous family did not have enough time to care for another cat. Since we have been with Almond, we have learned that he has feline herpes and has had an entropion eye surgery, which he is recovering nicely from. Don’t be alarmed by the diagnosis; despite being initially shy, Almond is an exceptionally friendly and affectionate cat who loves to curl up in your lap and spend quality time with you. Almond would do well in a home with other cats, but he does take some time to warm up to them. Ideally, he would be in a home with a medium to low energy level and can be with children. If you’d like to hear more about Almond, please fill out the adoption form, and a member of our team will get back to you as soon as possible.

Meet Molly Mae! This sweet girl was surrendered to us and is the ideal cat for lower-energy homes. Molly Mae loves to spend all her time lounging on the couch or basking in the sun and being treated like the princess she is. Molly Mae is a senior cat (estimated to be at least 11 years old), but regardless of age, she’s ready to sleep and tan all day long. This girl would do best in a home with a cat with the same energy level or no cats; additionally, she is spayed and up to date with all major vaccinations. If you’d like to hear more about Molly Mae, please fill out the adoption form, and a member of our team will get back to you as soon as possible.

The adoption process varies from case to case. At Simba’s Sanctuary we ensure that our cats are going to a loving home, by doing so, we conduct thorough background checks of all applicants. This process can take anywhere from a few hours to a few days.
Simba’s Sanctuary is able to take in cats if space is available. We ask that the owner completes some documentation so we can best care for the cat and find a loving home for them. There is no fee to drop off an animal that can no longer be cared for.
Spaying and neutering are crucial for controlling the pet population and preventing the suffering of unwanted animals. It helps reduce the number of stray animals and eases the burden on animal shelters. Spaying and neutering also have health benefits for the animals, such as reducing the risk of certain cancers and preventing behavioral issues related to mating instincts. In sum, spaying and neutering are important steps in responsible pet ownership and contribute to creating a more humane and balanced animal community.
